Job Overview
We are recruiting an experienced Band 6 Specialist Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapist to join NELFT, based at Harold Wood Polyclinic, Havering, within the North East London NHS. This community-based locum role sits within an MSK programme delivery service, providing assessment, treatment, and onward management for adult patients with musculoskeletal conditions. The role is suited to a confident MSK clinician who can manage a caseload independently while supporting high-quality community MSK services.
Key Responsibilities

- Manage a caseload of adult MSK patients within a community setting.
- Undertake comprehensive musculoskeletal assessments and deliver evidence-based treatment interventions.
- Formulate and review management plans, including onward referral to appropriate services where required.
- Complete all clinical administration accurately and in a timely manner.
- Use the RIO clinical system to record assessments, treatment plans, and outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with patients and colleagues via telephone, email, and written correspondence.
- Contribute to the effective delivery and ongoing development of the MSK programme.
About You
You are an experienced MSK Physiotherapist with strong clinical reasoning skills and the ability to manage a community caseload autonomously. You are confident using electronic clinical systems and bring clear, professional communication skills to support patient engagement and multidisciplinary working.
Requirements

- Degree in Physiotherapy and current HCPC registration.
- Post-qualification experience as a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist.
- Essential experience using the RIO system.
- Desirable experience using e-referrals.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including phone and email.
- Good IT skills, including confidence using Microsoft Excel.
