About the Role

University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled Band 6 Senior Physiotherapist to join the Therapy Services team at Poole Hospital. This role requires recent acute inpatient experience, including strong respiratory skills, to support patients across a fast-paced clinical environment.

Main Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality physiotherapy assessment and treatment to acute inpatients.
• Deliver respiratory physiotherapy interventions, including airway clearance techniques and mobility support.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support safe, effective discharge planning.
• Manage a varied caseload autonomously while maintaining accurate clinical documentation.
• Contribute to the delivery of a responsive and patient-centred Therapy Service.

Requirements

• HCPC-registered Physiotherapist.
• Recent experience working in an acute inpatient setting.
• Respiratory physiotherapy knowledge and practical skills.
• Strong clinical reasoning and communication abilities.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Working Hours

• Shift pattern: 08:30 – 17:00.
