Brief Job Overview

 
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Band 6 Physiotherapist to join Bromley Healthcare, providing high-quality physiotherapy across the community in Kent.  

This is a locum role for an experienced community-based physiotherapist who is confident in undertaking comprehensive assessments and designing effective rehabilitation programmes. You will support adults with a range of physical, mobility, and functional needs, helping them achieve independence and improved quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive physiotherapy assessments for patients in the community, covering function, mobility, and transfers.
• Undertake Falls Risk Assessments, rehabilitation potential assessments, and Moving and Handling assessments in line with best practice standards.
• Develop personalised goal-oriented treatment plans that promote independence, recovery, and wellbeing.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including Occupational Therapists, Nurses, and Social Workers, to coordinate care and achieve shared outcomes.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adapting interventions and goals as needed.
• Provide clear documentation, reports, and updates in line with professional and organisational standards.
• Promote safe mobility and functional independence through education and therapeutic interventions.
• Maintain professional standards and contribute to service development and clinical improvement initiatives.
• Work flexibly across the community to meet patient and service needs.

About You

 
You are an adaptable and proactive Physiotherapist with experience in community care, MSK, falls prevention, or physical rehabilitation. You have excellent clinical reasoning and communication skills and are committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centred care. You thrive on working independently while being part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.

Requirements

• Qualified Physiotherapist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
• Significant post-qualification experience, ideally within community physiotherapy or similar NHS settings.
• Experience in MSK, falls prevention, and physical rehabilitation.
• Ability to undertake functional, mobility, and risk assessments effectively.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and clinical reasoning skills.
• Confident in working autonomously and managing your own caseload.
• Car driver essential due to the community-based nature of the role.
• Flexible approach to work and ability to adapt to varying patient needs.
• Strong commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development.

Contract & Salary

• Job Type: Locum
• Location: Bromley Healthcare
• Area: Kent NHS
• Contract Length: Ongoing (initial 3–5 months)
• Salary: £Negotiable, dependent on experience
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00 (negotiable)
