Brief Job Overview / Introduction to Role
We are recruiting a Band 6 Physiotherapist to join the Stroke Therapy team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. This ongoing locum role involves delivering clinical support and providing physiotherapy interventions to patients recovering from stroke, helping them regain function and independence.
Key Responsibilities
– Assess and provide physiotherapy treatment to patients with a stroke diagnosis. – Plan and implement individual therapy programmes in line with patients’ recovery needs. – Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to support patient rehabilitation. – Monitor and record patient progress accurately, providing feedback to colleagues as needed. – Contribute to the delivery of high-quality stroke rehabilitation services.
About You
– You are an experienced physiotherapist with knowledge of stroke rehabilitation. – Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams. – Ability to manage patient caseloads effectively and work within NHS clinical standards. – Committed to delivering evidence-based practice and improving patient outcomes.
Requirements
– Registered Physiotherapist with HCPC. – Minimum of 6 months’ NHS physiotherapy experience. – Experience assessing and treating patients with stroke is essential. – Able to work Monday to Friday, 08.00/08.30 – 16.00/16.30.

– Location: University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust, Sussex – Salary: £negotiable – Job Type: Locum, ongoing contract – Hours: Monday to Friday, 08.00/08.30 – 16.00/16.30
