Brief Job Overview / Introduction to Role

We are recruiting a Physiotherapist to join Walsall Council in the West Midlands. This ongoing locum role will work across all pathways of Intermediate Care, including Reablement, Rapid Response, and Rehabilitation beds, supporting patients to regain independence and improve functional outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

– Deliver physiotherapy interventions across Reablement, Rapid Response, and Rehabilitation services. – Work within a multidisciplinary team (MDT) to support patients’ rehabilitation goals. – Assess, plan, and implement therapy programmes for a varied and complex caseload. – Maintain accurate records and provide updates on patient progress. – Support patients to achieve independence and improve mobility and daily functioning.

About You

– You are a motivated and experienced physiotherapist with a commitment to patient rehabilitation and independence. – Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with patients, families, and colleagues. – Ability to manage a complex caseload across multiple pathways. – Flexible and reliable, with the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements

– Registered Physiotherapist with HCPC. – Experience in community physiotherapy or Intermediate Care pathways preferred. – Postgraduate experience is advantageous due to the complexity of caseloads. – Experience working within a multidisciplinary team. – Car driver with the ability to travel across the local area. – Available to work 37.5 hours per week, 09.00 – 17.00.

Contract & Salary

– Location: Blakenall Village, Walsall Council, West Midlands – Salary: £35 per hour – Job Type: Locum, ongoing contract – Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 09.00 – 17.00
