Job Title: Speech and Language Therapist – Band 6 Location: Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust, South London NHS Salary: Negotiable Contract: Locum, Ongoing
Service Area: Adults – Community, Intermediate & Anticipatory Care
Role Overview:
Speech and Language Therapist required to provide specialist assessment, diagnosis, and intervention for adults with acquired speech, language, communication, and swallowing difficulties. The role involves community-based work to maximise independence and support anticipatory/intermediate care. Car not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a complex adult caseload, including patients with long-term conditions such as dementia.
Work autonomously within professional standards (RCSLT).
Collaborate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Contribute to team development and service improvement.
Skills & Experience Required:
Qualified SLT with minimum 2 years Band 6 experience.
Experience with older adult patients, preferably in the NHS.
Dysphagia training (must be clearly stated on CV).
