Service: Paediatric Occupational Therapy – Children and Young People
Job Details:
- Paediatric Occupational Therapist required to assess and support children and young people aged 0–19 with complex needs.
- Conduct assessments and joint home visits to identify needs and recommend appropriate equipment and adaptations.
- Prescribe specialist equipment and provide training to service users, families and carers.
- Develop and deliver person-centred, evidence-based intervention plans to promote independence.
- Support children and young people with activities of daily living and improve accessibility within home, school and community environments.
- Monitor progress and produce clear reports for families, GPs and multidisciplinary teams.
- Deliver specialist assessments and therapeutic interventions tailored to individual needs.
- Work collaboratively with families, education providers and social care professionals to achieve positive outcomes.
Skills / Experience:
- Qualified Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration.
- Experience working within paediatric occupational therapy services.
- Experience supporting children and young people with complex needs.
- Experience assessing for specialist equipment and environmental adaptations.
- Strong multidisciplinary working and communication skills.
- Ability to develop person-centred intervention plans.
