Job details: To start asap. Physiotherapist required for Complex Neurology and long term disability Team (CRT) with possible option of rotation into Community Stroke Team. Adult Therapy Services.

• Contribute to the provision of a multi-disciplinary community based service for adults with complex physical disabilities, in particular those with neurological conditions. 
• The aim of the therapist is to enable clients to achieve their maximum potential, through improving their physical and mental health status and coping capacity.
• Provide advanced Physiotherapeutic assessment and treatment of patients with diverse presentations and complex physical and psychological symptoms associated with multiple neurological conditions.
• Educate and train Assistant Practitioners, Rehabilitation Assistants, other allied health professionals, carers and allied health professional students in the Physiotherapeutic management of clients with physical disabilities.
• Supervise and mentor Assistant Practitioners, Rehabilitation Assistants and/or Physiotherapy Students on Clinical Placements.
• Work as an autonomous practitioner with complex patients in a variety of home environments.
• Lead or participate in audit and research within the Adult Therapy Services, disseminating findings and recommending changes to practice.
• Ensure self and Assistants are working in close collaboration with carers and health and social care agencies.
• Provide leadership, support and advice to more junior colleagues in the assessment and management of community based patients with neurological clinical conditions.

Working hours: 36 hours per week. Weekdays, 09.00 – 17.00.
