Band 5 Locum Pharmacy Technician – within The Medicines Management Team
Full Address: Based in Luton but will require to attend domiciliary visits. Role is Hybrid Start Date: ASAP Placement Length: 12 Weeks Working Pattern: 2-3 Days per week (15-22.5 hours)
Skills: BTEC or NVQ Level 3 in Pharmaceutical Services sufficient for registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
Significant experience of medicine management and understanding its application in community settings
Good up to date knowledge of drug use
Understanding of issues involved in stock control
Understanding of importance of monitoring quality of service
Understanding of the need of confidentiality awareness at all times
CPD portfolio demonstrating substantive experience of competent pharmacy practice.
Post-qualification showing evidence of;
Validated competence in dispensary services
Experience of working to standard operating procedures
Experience of contributing to standard operating procedures
Customer orientated services
Experience of patient medication counselling
Experience of working in a multidisciplinary team and autonomous working
Demonstrate an understanding of primary and secondary care prescribing in relation to improving patient safety and medication
optimisation
