Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACT) to join our client’s pharmacy team on a locum basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Band 5 technician with solid NHS experience to contribute to a busy and supportive environment, ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient dispensing services.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

 
• Carry out final accuracy checks on dispensed items in accordance with NHS and departmental protocols.
   

• Support the dispensary and ward-based pharmacy teams to maintain a high standard of service delivery.
   

• Assist pharmacists in ensuring safe supply and management of medicines to patients.
   

• Maintain meticulous records and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and trust policies.
   

• Contribute to audits, training, and continuous improvement initiatives within the department.

Requirements

 
• Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
   

• Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACT) qualification essential.
   

• Previous UK NHS experience is required.
   

• Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
