Role 1: Band 6 Pharmacy Technician – ACT Trained (Southend
Type: Locum
Rate: £28.00 per hour
Contract End Date: First week of November 2025
Availability: Monday to Friday
Number of Positions: 2
Requirements:
Must hold an ACT qualification (evidence required)
Minimum of 1 year NHS ward experience (face-to-face patient interaction)
Able to commit to the full contract duration
Key Duties:
Prepare and dispense medications, including cytotoxic drugs and clinical trial medications, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and National Standards.
Perform accuracy checking of dispensed products after completing the Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician course.
Lead and supervise a team, coordinating workflow and managing stock.
Ensure compliance with clinical governance and quality management systems.
Provide training and support to junior staff and participate in departmental audits.
