View JobNewham Council is seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Locum Social Worker to join its Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH). The role is central to early risk identification and decision-making to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children and young people across the borough.
Key Responsibilities:

Screen and triage incoming referrals from professionals, agencies, and the public regarding children at potential risk.

Analyse and assess risk levels based on multi-agency information, in line with statutory thresholds.

Make timely and informed decisions regarding the appropriate safeguarding pathway (e.g., assessment, strategy discussion, or no further action).

Liaise with partner agencies including police, health, education, and early help services.

Maintain accurate records and contribute to high-quality information sharing and case tracking.
