Travelers in this pool must be highly skilled and capable of handling the full scope of their patient load without additional support, ensuring they are prepared to provide holistic care to all patients as needed. The needs for positions in the Float Pool may vary by skillset, and candidates should be adaptable, capable of working across various units and facilities. Flexibility, independence, and a broad skillset are essential for success in this role. Facilities within the Bassett Health Network: 1. Bassett Medical Center – Cooperstown, NY o 180-bed hospital o Teaching hospital and nationally recognized tertiary care facility o Acute care inpatient services, advanced outpatient diagnostic and treatments o Distance from Oneonta, NY: ~30 miles 2. A.O. Fox Hospital – Oneonta, NY o 67-bed hospital o Provides emergency, inpatient, and outpatient services, including cardiology, cancer care, orthopedic surgery, pulmonary medicine, and imaging o Distance from Oneonta, NY: 0 miles (located in Oneonta) 3. A.O. Fox Hospital – Tri-Town Campus – Sidney, NY o Emergency care facility o Full ER, clinical laboratory, and radiology services o Distance from Oneonta, NY: ~25 miles 4. O’Connor Hospital – Delhi, NY o 23-bed hospital o Critical access facility offering acute care medical/surgical beds and extended care “swing” beds o Distance from Oneonta, NY: ~35 miles 5. Little Falls Hospital – Little Falls, NY o 25-bed hospital o Provides acute inpatient medical care, emergency services, and short-stay inpatient rehab o Distance from Oneonta, NY: ~40 miles 6. Med/Tele Float Pool o Responsibilities: The Med/Tele Float Pool will support med/tele and med/surg units across all facilities. ? Bassett Medical Center: Med/tele and inpatient surgery units ? A.O. Fox Hospital: Observation unit and med/tele unit ? Other Facilities: Critical access hospitals offering dynamic care to rural communities o Requirements: ? Must be skilled to handle the full scope of patient care without support ? Able to work independently and provide care across a variety of units 2. ED/Med Tele Float Pool o Responsibilities: This float pool will support both med/tele and emergency departments throughout the network. ? Primary focus: Med/tele units, but may also be required to work in emergency rooms. o Requirements: ? Med/tele experience is preferred ? Experience in emergency departments (ED) is a bonus but not required ? Must be able to work across different types of units and settings, adapting quickly to the needs of each facility 3. Critical Care Float Pool o Responsibilities: The Critical Care Float Pool will consist of clinicians who can support stepdown and ICU areas across the network. o Requirements: ? Strong background in critical care is required ? Experience in emergency departments (ED) is highly preferred ? Must be prepared to float between various facilities, including those with critical access services and ICU units Position Expectations: ? Floating Requirements: Travelers will be required to float between all six facilities within the Bassett Health Network as needed and on a daily basis. This role requires flexibility and the ability to adjust to different units and patient care environments throughout the network. ? Shift Notification: Travelers will be notified approximately 2 hours prior to their shift where they are expected to report for the day. ? Mid-Shift Floating: There is a possibility of being floated mid-shift depending on operational needs. Flexibility is essential for this role, and travel
