Hartlepool Borough Council is looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Practitioner to join our Children’s Services team. In this leadership role, you will support and guide social workers, manage complex cases, and contribute to the ongoing development of excellent safeguarding and family support practices. Key Responsibilities:

Lead on complex and high-risk cases, ensuring the highest standards of child protection and family intervention.

Provide supervision, coaching, and mentoring to less experienced social workers, supporting their professional growth.

Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners, including education, health, and police, to deliver coordinated child-centred services.

Contribute to practice development and quality assurance, helping to embed best practice across the service.
