Rehab Assistant – Part Time

Brief Job Overview

Tripod Partners are recruiting 2x Rehab Assistants for a locum opportunity with Peartree Rehabilitation in Southampton. Working within the Hampshire Private sector, you will support the rehabilitation service in delivering high-quality, person-centred care and rehabilitation to service users.

This is an excellent opportunity for Rehab Assistants looking for flexible part-time locum work within a specialist rehabilitation setting. The service requires cover across 7 days a week, with shifts running from 09:00 to 16:00.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the rehabilitation team in delivering high-quality, person-centred rehabilitation programmes.
• Assist service users with rehabilitation activities and interventions as directed by the wider clinical team.
• Support individuals to maximise their independence, mobility, function, and wellbeing.
• Work collaboratively with Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
• Follow individual rehabilitation plans and provide appropriate practical support.
• Monitor service users during rehabilitation activities and communicate relevant observations to clinical colleagues.
• Maintain appropriate standards of health, safety, confidentiality, and professional conduct.
• Contribute to a positive and supportive rehabilitation environment.

About You

You will be a motivated and reliable Rehab Assistant who is passionate about supporting people through their rehabilitation journey. You will be comfortable working as part of a multidisciplinary team and committed to providing compassionate, person-centred support.

The role requires flexibility to work across the service’s 7-day operating pattern and the ability to work effectively within a busy rehabilitation environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience within a rehabilitation, healthcare, therapy, or care setting is desirable.
• Understanding of person-centred rehabilitation and supporting individuals to maximise independence.
• Ability to work effectively alongside Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and wider multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, flexible, and committed approach to patient care.
• Ability to work shifts between 09:00 and 16:00 across a 7-day service.
