The London Borough of Redbridge Council is seeking a trained and experienced Occupational Therapy Assistant to support the delivery of high-quality services within the community. This role involves working closely with individuals to promote independence through the provision of equipment, adaptations, and participation in Best Interest Assessments (BIA). The successful candidate will contribute to meaningful outcomes for service users while working collaboratively with Occupational Therapists and wider multidisciplinary teams.
Support the assessment and delivery of community-based equipment and minor home adaptations.
Assist Occupational Therapists in carrying out functional assessments and intervention plans.
Take part in Best Interest Assessments (BIA), ensuring decisions reflect the individual’s needs and rights.
Maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with council and professional standards.
Communicate effectively with service users, families, and professionals to implement care plans.
Apply practical experience and training to promote service users’ independence and wellbeing.
