Job details:  Occupational Therapy Assistant required for busy team with a fast throughput of work. Skills/experience: must be at least Trust Assessor level. Good working knowledge of minor OT equipment and minor adaptations. Some knowledge of adaptations is advantageous. At least 2 years’ experience in a social care setting. Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage own caseload is essential

• You will provide functional assessments of needs and environmental assessments in clients’ homes and support qualified OTs where appropriate. We operate hybrid model of working and you will be able to work from home. You will be expected to attend the office at least one day a week and to attend all team meetings in person as and when required.
• You will be expected to complete at least 5 assessments per week and close about 5 cases a week.
• You will identify eligible needs and provide clients with information and advice, make recommendations for provision of equipment and adaptations to promote well-being and independence in accordance with the Care Act 2014. You will receive support and regular supervisions from a qualified OT.
• You will manage your own diary and will be working from home except for the time when you need to visit clients in their homes. You will be able to be flexible with your working hours.
• Good throughput of work and good standard of your work will be expected and monitored on a regular basis.
