The London Borough of Barnet is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join its Adult Early Intervention Team in Colindale. This is an excellent opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to work collaboratively within an integrated team alongside Social Workers and Assessment and Enablement Officers (AEOs).

The successful Occupational Therapist will have the opportunity to develop new skills while building on their existing strengths and professional experience. You will be directly managed, supported and encouraged by a Lead Practitioner Occupational Therapist with over 25 years of experience across health and social care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Occupational Therapy input within the Adult Early Intervention Team.
• Work collaboratively alongside Social Workers and Assessment and Enablement Officers.
• Apply Occupational Therapy knowledge and skills to support adults within an early intervention setting.
• Contribute to person-centred assessment and intervention based on individual needs.
• Support individuals to maximise their independence and achieve appropriate outcomes.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across health and social care.
• Develop new skills and build on existing professional strengths through supported practice.
• Maintain appropriate professional records and contribute to effective information sharing within the team.
• Work with the Lead Practitioner OT and wider team to deliver a high-quality service.

About You

We are looking for a motivated and adaptable Occupational Therapist who is keen to develop their practice within an Adult Early Intervention Team. You will be confident working collaboratively with Social Workers and AEOs and able to apply your Occupational Therapy skills to support adults in a social care environment.

This role offers excellent professional support, with direct management and guidance from an experienced Lead Practitioner OT. It would suit an Occupational Therapist who is keen to broaden their experience, learn new skills and build on their existing strengths across health and social care.

Requirements

• Relevant Occupational Therapy qualification.
• Current HCPC registration.
• Experience working as an Occupational Therapist, preferably within adult health or social care.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong communication, assessment and professional reasoning skills.
• Willingness to develop new skills and build on existing professional strengths.
• Ability to work effectively within a hybrid arrangement, with 4 days remote and 1 day in the office.
