Senior Occupational Therapist – Individual Shifts

Job Overview

Tripod Partners are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to work on an ongoing locum basis with The Disabilities Trust t/a Brainkind – Stagenhoe Park in Hertfordshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality, person-centred occupational therapy support within a specialist service. The role is offered on an individual-shift basis and would suit an experienced practitioner looking for flexible ongoing locum work.

Key Responsibilities

 
• Provide high-quality occupational therapy assessment and intervention to support individuals with their functional needs.
   

• Complete appropriate assessments and develop person-centred intervention plans.
   

• Support individuals to maximise their independence, wellbeing and quality of life.
   

• Work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team and other professionals involved in individuals’ care.
   

• Use strong clinical reasoning to identify appropriate occupational therapy interventions and recommendations.
   

• Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure professional standards are met.
   

• Contribute positively to the delivery of a safe, effective and person-centred service.

About You

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Occupational Therapist who can work confidently within a specialist care environment. You will have strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills, excellent communication abilities and a person-centred approach to occupational therapy.

You should be able to work autonomously while contributing effectively to a multidisciplinary team and be confident managing individual shifts as part of an ongoing locum assignment.

Requirements

 
• Relevant Occupational Therapy qualification.
   

• Current HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
   

• Previous experience working as an Occupational Therapist, ideally at a senior level.
   

• Strong assessment, intervention and clinical reasoning skills.
   

• Excellent communication and multidisciplinary working skills.
   

• Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities effectively during individual shifts.
   

• Commitment to delivering person-centred care and supporting individual outcomes.
