Brief Job Overview
Tripod Partners are recruiting an Occupational Therapist for a locum role within North London Social Services. This position focuses on delivering occupational therapy assessments and interventions, with a particular emphasis on major and minor adaptations to support independence within the community.
The Occupational Therapist will work with adults to assess functional needs and recommend appropriate adaptations and equipment, enabling individuals to live safely and independently in their own homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out occupational therapy assessments within community settings.
- Assess for and recommend major and minor adaptations to support independence.
- Provide advice on equipment provision and safe use within the home environment.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and partner agencies.
- Support individuals to improve daily living outcomes and maintain independence.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in line with statutory requirements.
About You
You will be an experienced Occupational Therapist with a strong background in
adaptations and equipment provision within adult social care services.
You will demonstrate strong clinical reasoning skills and the ability to assess complex needs,
providing practical and effective solutions to support independence.
Requirements
- Recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Experience in assessing and recommending major and minor adaptations.
- Experience within adult social care or community settings.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
