Brief Job Overview

Tripod Partners are recruiting an Occupational Therapist for a locum role within West Midlands Social Care. This position focuses on delivering enablement assessments, supporting adults to regain independence and improve functional ability within the community.

The Occupational Therapist will work collaboratively to develop enablement plans and guide Enablement Officers in delivering targeted interventions. The role supports individuals to achieve improved outcomes through short-term, goal-focused support within adult social care services.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out occupational therapy enablement assessments for adults within the community.
• Develop and implement enablement plans focused on improving independence.
• Provide guidance and instruction to Enablement Officers on delivering interventions.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support coordinated care.
• Support individuals to achieve functional goals and improve daily living outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in line with statutory requirements.

About You

You will be a qualified Occupational Therapist with experience working within 
adult social care or enablement services. You will demonstrate strong clinical reasoning 
skills and the ability to support individuals in achieving independence through targeted interventions.

You will be confident working collaboratively with colleagues and providing guidance to support staff 
delivering enablement programmes.

Requirements

• Recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy.
• Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
• Experience within adult social care or enablement services.
• Ability to undertake assessments and develop enablement plans.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Salary: £28.40 per hour
