Brief Job Overview

Tripod Partners are recruiting a Band 6 Community Occupational Therapist for a locum role within East Riding of Yorkshire NHS. This position focuses on delivering occupational therapy within community services, supporting patients with rehabilitation needs, including those following stroke.

The Occupational Therapist will manage a caseload across community settings, providing assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation to support individuals in regaining independence and improving functional outcomes. The role involves working across multiple sites and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated care.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out occupational therapy assessments within community settings.
• Manage a caseload of patients requiring rehabilitation, including stroke patients.
• Develop and implement treatment plans to support functional recovery and independence.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated care.
• Provide advice and support to patients, families, and carers.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with NHS standards.
• Travel across Hull and East Riding to support service delivery.

About You

You will be a qualified Occupational Therapist with experience working within 
community or stroke rehabilitation services. You will demonstrate strong clinical reasoning 
skills and the ability to manage a caseload independently.

You will be comfortable working across multiple sites and confident delivering rehabilitation interventions 
that support independence and recovery within the community.

Requirements

• Recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy (degree essential).
• Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
• Postgraduate experience (3+ years preferred).
• Experience in community stroke rehabilitation.
• Relevant UK NHS experience.
• Ability to manage a caseload independently.
• Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle (essential).
• Experience using SystmOne desirable but not essential.
