Service: Paediatric Occupational Therapy – Children and Young People

Job Details:

• Paediatric Occupational Therapist required to assess and support children and young people aged 0–19 with complex needs.
• Conduct assessments and joint home visits to identify needs and recommend appropriate equipment and adaptations.
• Prescribe specialist equipment and provide training to service users, families and carers.
• Develop and deliver person-centred, evidence-based intervention plans to promote independence.
• Support children and young people with activities of daily living and improve accessibility within home, school and community environments.
• Monitor progress and produce clear reports for families, GPs and multidisciplinary teams.
• Deliver specialist assessments and therapeutic interventions tailored to individual needs.
• Work collaboratively with families, education providers and social care professionals to achieve positive outcomes.

Skills / Experience:

• Qualified Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration.
• Experience working within paediatric occupational therapy services.
• Experience supporting children and young people with complex needs.
• Experience assessing for specialist equipment and environmental adaptations.
• Strong multidisciplinary working and communication skills.
• Ability to develop person-centred intervention plans.
