Job Details:

• Band 6 Occupational Therapist required to start ASAP to support mental health services.
• Manage a caseload of service users with complex, severe and enduring mental health needs.
• Use evidence-based practice and recovery-focused principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate treatment interventions.
• Support service users to improve quality of life and engage in meaningful daily activities.
• Apply a high level of understanding of the impact of mental illness and associated physical conditions.
• Provide advice, training and recommendations on lifestyle changes and environmental adaptations.
• Assess and recommend equipment, aids and adaptations to support independence.
• Provide leadership and supervision to junior and unqualified staff where required.
• Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to support recovery-oriented care planning.

Skills / Experience:

• HCPC registered Occupational Therapist.
• Experience working with individuals with severe and enduring mental health conditions.
• Experience managing complex caseloads within mental health settings.
• Knowledge of recovery-oriented practice and evidence-based interventions.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience supervising or supporting junior staff (desirable).

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 08:30 – 16:30.
