Job Details:
Band 7 Stroke Occupational Therapist required to start ASAP.
Provide specialist occupational therapy assessment and intervention for patients who have experienced a stroke.
Support early intervention and complex discharge planning from the acute setting.
Assess and manage reduced cognitive and motor function impacting activities of daily living.
Work with patients whose functional abilities have been significantly affected, including those previously in employment.
Develop and implement personalised rehabilitation plans to maximise independence and recovery.
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support patient outcomes and safe discharge.
Utilise advanced clinical reasoning in a fast-paced acute environment.
Skills / Experience:
HCPC registered Occupational Therapist.
Experience in stroke rehabilitation and neurological conditions.
Experience working within acute hospital settings.
Strong knowledge of cognitive and physical rehabilitation techniques.
Experience in discharge planning and complex case management.
Excellent communication and MDT working skills.
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 08:00 – 16:00.
