Service: Outpatient Hand Therapy

Job Details:

• Band 6 Hand Therapist required for immediate start to join a small, specialist hand therapy team.
• Based within the outpatient department at Croydon University Hospital.
• Assess and treat a wide range of hand and wrist conditions including trauma, elective cases, RA, OA and CRPS.
• Fabricate thermoplastic splints and provide specialist hand therapy interventions.
• Manage an extensive and varied caseload, ensuring effective prioritisation and time management.
• Work closely with Trauma & Orthopaedic Consultants in weekly clinics.
• Provide wound management and rehabilitation plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to optimise patient outcomes.

Skills / Experience:

• Qualified Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist with relevant registration.
• Essential: Previous experience in a hand therapy role.
• Essential: Ability to fabricate thermoplastic splints.
• Experience managing trauma and elective hand therapy caseloads.
• Knowledge of conditions including RA, OA, CRPS and post-surgical rehabilitation.
• Experience in wound management.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.

Working Hours: Full time.
