Job Title: Specialist Paediatric Occupational Therapist – Band 6 (Part Time)

 

Location: Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust – Redgrave Children and Young People’s Centre, Luton

Service: Children’s Services – Paediatric Occupational Therapy

 

Job Details:

 

  • Specialist Paediatric Occupational Therapist required to start ASAP for Children’s Services.
  • Based at the Redgrave Children and Young People’s Centre in Luton, with potential cover required at a second clinic.
  • Undertake visits to mainstream and specialist schools across Bedfordshire and Luton.
  • Provide specialist occupational therapy assessments, treatment and advice for children and young people.
  • Work collaboratively with families, schools and other professionals within a multi-agency framework.
  • Manage a varied caseload of children presenting with complex developmental and physical conditions.
  • Deliver person-centred therapy plans to support participation, independence and functional development.

 

Clinical Areas May Include:

 

  • Neuromuscular and musculoskeletal conditions
  • Developmental and perceptual difficulties
  • Developmental Co-ordination Disorder (DCD)
  • Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
  • Cerebral Palsy and Muscular Dystrophy
  • Learning, social, emotional and behavioural difficulties

 

Skills / Experience:

 

  • Qualified Occupational Therapist – BScOT or DipCOT.
  • Current HCPC registration.
  • Experience working within paediatric occupational therapy services.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary and multi-agency teams.
  • Strong assessment, communication and report writing skills.

 

Working Hours: 30 hours per week, Monday – Friday.
