Job Title: Advanced Occupational Therapist – Band 7

 

Location: NELFT – Grays Court Community Hospital / Goodmayes Hospital

Area: North East London NHS

Salary: £negotiable

Job Type: Locum

Contract length: Ongoing

 

Job details: Advanced Occupational Therapist required for the Intensive Rehabilitation & Therapy Service.

 

  •  
    • Undertake independent assessment, treatment and discharge planning of patients within the community rehabilitation team
       

    • Plan and manage a complex caseload, using recognised outcome measures and sound clinical reasoning
       

    • Lead on equipment reasoning, prescription and ordering to optimise patient independence and safety
       

    • Participate in family meetings and multidisciplinary discussions to support patient-centred goal setting
       

    • Work autonomously while contributing effectively to the wider MDT

     

    Skills/experience:

     

    •  
      • Post-qualification experience as an Occupational Therapist within the NHS
         

      • Experience working in community and rehabilitation settings (preferred)
         

      • Strong discharge planning and clinical decision-making skills
         

      • Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload
         

      • Car driver required due to the community-based nature of the role

       

      Working hours: 37.5 hours per week. Monday to Friday, shifts 08.30 – 16.30.

      Part-time working considered – minimum of 3 days per week (22.5 hours), dependent on experience.
