Job Details
A Band 7 Paediatric Occupational Therapist is required to start ASAP for an initial 12-week locum contract. This role focuses on delivering therapy to children and young people aged 5–11 years with additional needs across mainstream school and clinic settings within the borough.

- Deliver blocks of occupational therapy to children and young people with EHCPs within mainstream school settings.
- Provide therapy input to children transitioning from pre-school to primary school during the current academic year.
- Review, plan and implement structured blocks of therapy in line with individual needs and outcomes.
- Upskill parents, carers and school staff to support therapy goals effectively.
- Complete goal-setting documentation, provide written advice and contribute to annual review reports where required.
- Manage a caseload organised to minimise travel, while working flexibly across the borough.
- Deliver creative and engaging therapy sessions tailored to each child’s needs.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support holistic outcomes.
Skills & Experience

- Experience working with children aged 5–11 with additional needs.
- Previous experience delivering therapy within both school and clinic settings.
- Strong knowledge of EHCP processes and outcome-focused therapy delivery.
- Excellent communication skills to engage children, families and education staff.
Working Hours
37.5 hours per week
Monday to Friday, 08.30 – 16.30
Flexible working considered (e.g. 08.00 – 16.00 or 09.00 – 17.00)
Full time preferred, part time considered
