Brief Job Overview
Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist to support adult inpatients across the COE wards at Lewisham Hospital. This is a proactive, hands-on role focused on rehabilitation, risk identification and minimisation, and effective discharge planning within a busy acute hospital environment.
You will work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team, flexing your input to meet service demand and supporting high-quality patient flow and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Provide proactive occupational therapy input for adult patients requiring intervention on COE wards.
Undertake functional assessments to support rehabilitation and recovery.
Identify and minimise risks to support safe care and timely discharge.
Contribute to effective discharge planning in partnership with the multidisciplinary team.
Flex across the wider team as required to support caseload pressures.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with NHS standards.
Support colleagues and contribute positively to team-based working.
