Area: East Midlands Social Services
Rate: £32 per hour (umbrella)
Contract: Locum, Ongoing
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 09.00 – 17.00
Role Overview
Nottingham City Council is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to support Adult Social Care services. This role focuses on promoting independence through effective assessment, equipment provision and review of care packages.
Main Responsibilities
Undertake occupational therapy assessments within Adult Social Care.
Assess for and prescribe moving and handling equipment.
Implement and review single-handed care solutions.
Review and reduce packages of care where appropriate, promoting independence.
Maintain accurate and timely case records in line with council policies.
Work collaboratively with colleagues across health and social care.
Skills & Experience Required
Degree or MSc in Occupational Therapy.
HCPC registration.
Experience working within Adult Social Care.
Proven experience in moving and handling assessments and equipment prescription.
Experience reviewing and reducing care packages.
Experience using Liquidlogic preferred.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
