Role Overview
Two Band 6 Occupational Therapists are required to support Escalation Areas at Epsom Hospital. These roles focus on providing occupational therapy input to busy medical wards, supporting patient flow through effective assessment and discharge planning.
Main Responsibilities
Provide occupational therapy assessment and intervention on general medical wards.
Support safe and timely discharge planning.
Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to manage patient flow.
Deliver responsive OT input within escalation areas.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with Trust standards.
Skills & Experience Required
HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist.
Band 6 experience preferred.
Recent experience working on general medical wards.
Strong discharge planning skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced acute environment.
Working Hours
Weekdays only – 5 shifts per week
7.5 hours per day
Potential for extension subject to approval
