  • Identify functional difficulties and explore solutions through advice, equipment provision and minor/major adaptations.
  • Support parents and carers in their caring roles by offering practical guidance and tailored interventions.
  • Work collaboratively with professionals in health, education, Community Equipment Services and Housing organisations.
  • Ensure all assessments align with the local authority’s statutory responsibilities.
  • Maintain accurate, timely and professional documentation in line with service standards.
  • Manage your own caseload independently, prioritising effectively while contributing positively to the wider team.

Requirements

  • Fully qualified Occupational Therapist, registered with the HCPC.
  • Experience working with disabled children, ideally within a social care setting (desirable).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage a varied caseload autonomously.
  • Excellent communication skills for liaison with children, young people, families and other professionals.

  • County-wide community role.
  • Flexible working with occasional office attendance for team meetings.

Why Join?
