Occupational Therapist – Band 6 (Locum)

 

Location: City Health Care Partnership CIC – Longhill Health Centre

Area: East Riding of Yorkshire NHS

Rate: £Negotiable

Contract: Locum, Ongoing

 

About the Role

 

We are seeking a skilled Band 6 Occupational Therapist with experience in stroke rehabilitation to join the community team at Longhill Health Centre. This locum role is initially for 3 months, supporting patients across Hull and the East Riding through tailored stroke rehabilitation interventions in their homes and community settings.

 

Main Responsibilities

 

  • Deliver specialist occupational therapy assessments and rehabilitation programmes for stroke patients.
  • Work autonomously across Hull and East Riding, managing a varied community caseload.
  • Support individuals in regaining functional independence through evidence-based treatment plans.
  • Use clinical reasoning and outcome measures to guide effective rehabilitation.
  • Collaborate with MDT colleagues to ensure coordinated, patient-centred care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with HCPC and service standards.

 

Requirements

 

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy (Post-grad qualification and 3+ years’ experience desirable but not essential).
  • Experience in community-based stroke rehabilitation.
  • Strong assessment, clinical reasoning and caseload management skills.
  • Car driver with access to own vehicle and willing to travel across Hull and East Riding.
  • SystmOne experience desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to work independently and reliably in a community setting.

 

Working Hours

 

  • Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:00.
