Paediatric Occupational Therapist – Band 6

Brief Job Overview / Introduction to Role

We are recruiting a qualified Paediatric Occupational Therapist (Band 6) to join a locum position in Kimberworth Place, Rotherham. This ongoing role offers the chance to work within a supportive paediatric service, helping children develop their functional abilities and independence.

Key Responsibilities

– Assess and support the development of children’s functional skills in a paediatric setting. – Administer, score, and report on standardised assessments including Movement ABC-2, VMI, and TVPS. – Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and carers to support children’s progress and outcomes. – Maintain accurate records of assessments, interventions, and progress notes. – Contribute to planning and implementing tailored therapy programmes for children.

About You

– You are passionate about supporting children’s development and promoting independence. – Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams. – Organised and able to manage assessments, reporting, and case documentation efficiently. – Previous experience in a paediatric occupational therapy setting is essential.

Requirements

– HCPC registered Occupational Therapist. – Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in paediatrics. – Competent in administering, scoring, and reporting on Movement ABC-2, VMI, and TVPS assessments. – Able to work Monday to Friday, 08.30 – 16.30.

– Location: Kimberworth Place, Kimberworth Road, Rotherham, South Yorkshire – Salary: £negotiable – Job Type: Locum, ongoing contract
