The London Borough of Tower Hamlets Council is looking for a qualified and experienced Occupational Therapy Assistant to join the Adults’ Services team. The role focuses on supporting adults in the community to maximise independence and quality of life through timely assessments, equipment provision, and home adaptations. The successful candidate will also contribute to Best Interest Assessments (BIA), working under the supervision of registered Occupational Therapists.
Deliver person-centred support within the community to promote independence and reduce care needs.
Assist in carrying out functional assessments and supporting intervention plans for adults.
Support the identification, provision, and fitting of equipment and minor adaptations in service users’ homes.
Contribute to Best Interest Assessments (BIA) in line with the Mental Capacity Act.
Work collaboratively with service users, carers, and multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive outcomes.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with council policies and procedures.
