Job Title: Senior Occupational Therapist – Band 6 Location: Shropshire Council, West Midlands Salary: £31.97/hr (umbrella) Contract Type: Locum, Ongoing Hours: 37 hours/week, Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:30
Role Overview:
Experienced Occupational Therapist required for Adult Social Care, focusing on equipment, adaptations, and single-handed care reviews.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct single-handed care assessments to reduce reliance on carers and promote client independence.
Complete approximately 10 assessments per week over a 15-week project.
Order and manage equipment needs in line with the Care Act (2014).
Collaborate with the Adult Social Care team to review and update care plans.
Requirements:
Minimum 7 years of OT experience.
Experience/training in single-handed care reviews.
Ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently.
