Job Details:
Wokingham Borough Council requires a Housing Occupational Therapist with extensive knowledge of housing adaptations and Disabled Facilities Grants. The post holder must be HCPC-registered and hold a degree-level professional qualification in Occupational Therapy.
Key Responsibilities:
Undertake assessments of individuals’ needs and recommend appropriate housing adaptations.
Work within legal frameworks, guidance, and local policies to support independence, well-being, and protection of service users.
Liaise with relevant professionals and agencies to coordinate services and interventions.
Provide professional advice on housing adaptations to meet assessed needs.
Essential Skills/Experience:
Full EU driving licence with access to a car for daily travel.
Strong knowledge of housing adaptations and the Disabled Facilities Grant process.
Ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently.
