As an Occupational Therapist at University Hospital of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust, you will deliver patient-centered care aimed at improving individuals’ independence and quality of life. Working within a dynamic multidisciplinary team, you will assess, plan, and implement therapeutic interventions that support recovery and promote functional ability across diverse clinical settings.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform detailed assessments of patients’ physical, cognitive, and emotional needs to inform therapy planning.
Design and deliver personalized treatment programs to enhance patients’ ability to perform everyday activities.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, patients, and carers to ensure coordinated and effective rehabilitation.
Recommend and provide assistive devices, adaptive equipment, and environmental modifications to support patient independence.
Monitor patient progress and adjust therapeutic approaches to maximize outcomes and support discharge planning.
Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to continuous service development and professional practice.
