As a Band 6 Occupational Therapist with the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, you will support children and young people with developmental, physical, and sensory needs through short-term, goal-focused interventions. Working closely with families, schools, and professionals, you will help children participate more fully in everyday activities and reach their potential.
Complete detailed assessments of children’s functional abilities in areas such as fine motor skills, self-care, and sensory processing.
Develop and deliver targeted therapy programmes in line with EHCPs and individual needs.
Work collaboratively with families, schools, and multi-agency professionals to support holistic care and integration.
Provide training, advice, and strategies to parents, carers, and education staff to enhance daily participation.
Monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed over the course of the short-term placement.
Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with local authority and clinical governance standards.
