As an Occupational Therapist with East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, working at Band 6 across inpatient and community settings, you will provide specialist occupational therapy assessment and intervention to support patients with general medical conditions. Collaborating closely with patients, families, carers and multidisciplinary teams, you will develop and deliver personalised programmes aimed at promoting independence and improving quality of life.
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ functional abilities and daily living needs.
Develop, implement and review individualised occupational therapy intervention plans in line with best practice.
Work collaboratively with patients, carers and professionals to coordinate effective care and support.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in accordance with NHS and professional standards.
Provide advice, education and training to patients, families and colleagues to support occupational engagement.
Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives within the occupational therapy service.
