As a qualified and experienced Occupational Therapist with University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust, you will deliver specialist assessment, intervention and rehabilitation to adults within inpatient, acute, general medicine, neurology and rehabilitation settings. You will also undertake Best Interest Assessments (BIA), ensuring decisions are made in line with legal frameworks and the best outcomes for patients. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will promote independence, safety and quality of life for service users.
Carry out comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to identify functional needs and priorities.
Plan, implement and review evidence-based interventions to enhance daily living skills and independence.
Provide specialist input in inpatient, acute, general medicine, rehabilitation and neurology settings.
Undertake Best Interest Assessments in line with the Mental Capacity Act and organisational policies.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues to coordinate patient-centred care.
Maintain accurate, timely and professional documentation in accordance with standards and regulations.
