Manchester City Council is seeking a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to deliver high-quality occupational therapy services, with a focus on Best Interest Assessments (BIA). This role involves supporting individuals to achieve independence while ensuring that care decisions are made in line with statutory requirements.
Carry out comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to identify individual needs.
Undertake Best Interest Assessments (BIA) in accordance with the Mental Capacity Act.
Provide expert advice on equipment, adaptations, and interventions to promote independence.
Work collaboratively with health, social care, and external partners to ensure effective care planning.
Support safeguarding responsibilities, ensuring the wellbeing and rights of service users.
Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to service development within the council.
