Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a qualified and experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist for a 6-month fixed-term role, with a 36-hour weekly commitment. This role involves delivering high-quality occupational therapy for adults across inpatient and community settings, focusing on general medical needs, promoting independence, and supporting safe discharge within a multidisciplinary team.
Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and provide evidence-based interventions for adult patients in inpatient and community settings.
Support patients to develop independence in activities of daily living and functional mobility.
Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, patient-centred care and effective discharge planning.
Contribute to the development and implementation of treatment plans, care pathways, and rehabilitation programmes.
Provide guidance and support to junior staff, therapy assistants, and students.
Participate in service evaluation, audit, and quality improvement initiatives to maintain and enhance standards of occupational therapy practice.
