St Helens and Knowsley Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the adult therapy service. This role provides the opportunity to deliver high-quality occupational therapy across community and acute general medicine, with a strong focus on moving and handling to support patient safety, independence, and effective discharge planning.
Carry out comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and provide evidence-based interventions for adults in acute and community settings.
Support patients in developing independence with daily living activities and safe mobility, including moving and handling techniques.
Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic, patient-centred care and smooth discharge processes.
Manage a varied caseload within general medicine, tailoring treatment plans to meet individual needs.
Provide supervision, guidance, and support to junior staff, assistants, and students.
Contribute to service development, audit, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance occupational therapy practice.
