NELFT – North East London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a qualified and experienced Occupational Therapist to provide specialist support for adults in acute settings, with a focus on Best Interest Assessments (BIA) and telecare interventions. This role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care while contributing to safeguarding and ethical decision-making.
Undertake comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for adults in acute settings, incorporating Best Interest Assessment principles.
Provide specialist advice and interventions related to telecare, equipment, and adaptations to support independence and safety.
Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, patient-centred care and safe discharge planning.
Contribute to safeguarding processes and ensure all assessments comply with legal and ethical frameworks.
Support and mentor junior staff, assistants, and students in occupational therapy practice.
Participate in service development, audit, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance the delivery of BIA-informed occupational therapy.
