Swansea Bay University Health Board is seeking a qualified and experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist to work with adults in community and general medicine settings. This role focuses on delivering high-quality occupational therapy while contributing to Best Interest Assessments (BIA), with a strong emphasis on moving and handling, and the provision of equipment and adaptations to support independence and safety.
Undertake comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for adults in community and general medicine settings.
Contribute to Best Interest Assessments (BIA), ensuring patient-centred, ethical, and legally compliant decision-making.
Develop and implement individualised intervention plans to promote independence, safe mobility, and daily living skills.
Provide specialist advice on moving and handling, equipment, and adaptations to optimise patient safety.
Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver coordinated, patient-centred care.
Participate in service development, audit, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance occupational therapy provision.
