As an Occupational Therapist with Walsall Council, working in inpatient settings, you will provide occupational therapy services only to adult patients within general medicine. Operating as a qualified and experienced practitioner, you will act as a Best Interest Assessor and deliver support with telecare and moving and handling. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide tailored therapy that enhances patient care and outcomes.
Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments of adult patients in inpatient settings.
Develop, implement and evaluate personalised occupational therapy programmes based on clinical priorities and best practice.
Work collaboratively with patients, families, carers and healthcare professionals to coordinate care and support.
Act as a Best Interest Assessor where required.
Support patients with telecare and moving and handling interventions.
Maintain accurate and detailed clinical records in accordance with professional and organisational standards.
