Job details: Occupational Therapist required to cover vacancy in Adult Care Services. The post holder will hold their own caseload and work in partnership with people living in the community. They will undertake a holistic assessment of need to identify person-centred outcomes.
The team work in an enabling way with people and their families and carers, to promote independence and participation, through meaningful occupation and a strengths-based approach. All services aim to ensure that people are provided with the right support and advice, and at the right time.
The Adult Care Services Connected Lives practice principles are very much aligned to core occupational therapy values, with the ultimate aim of connecting people to the life that they want to live.
The team work collaboratively alongside social care colleagues, as well as with health partners, housing and care providers, and a range of community support.
Able to assess for aide adaptation.

- recognised occupational therapy qualification and be registered with The Health and Care Professions Council
- To ensure practice is consistent with The Royal College of Occupational Therapists’ Professional standards for occupational therapy practice, conduct and ethics, and the HCPC Standards of Proficiency for Occupational therapy
- Knowledge and experience of relevant social care legislation, such as the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005
- To be a confident team member with good decision-making skills
- The ability to work successfully with partners and other agencies
- A full UK driving licence and regular access to a vehicle for work purposes
Current MCA knowledge/experience. Up-to-date Safeguarding training.
Able to work autonomously. Pressurised environment
Must be a car driver with access to own transport.
Ideally, the team are looking for someone who has already worked in Hertfordshire and is used to the recording system ACSIS.
Working hours: 37 hours per week. Full time. 09.00 – 17.00.
