Job Overview:
Barts Health NHS Trust is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join their Therapy Department. The role focuses on providing assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation for adult inpatients, particularly older adults and those experiencing frailty, delirium, or dementia.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, plan, and deliver therapy for activities of daily living, including washing, dressing, and grooming.
Support patients with cognitive difficulties and provide rehabilitation interventions.
Contribute to multidisciplinary team (MDT) care planning.
Work with older adults experiencing frailty, delirium, or dementia to optimize independence.
Skills & Experience Required:
Experience working in acute hospital settings.
Knowledge of older adult care, frailty, delirium, and dementia management.
Strong assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within an MDT.
Working Hours:
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00.
